Velociraptor or Velociraptor mongolious pronounced vuh·laa·sr·ap·tr was a small therepodial, carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the late Cretaceous Period, about 66 million years ago. The velociraptor has been found in Mongolia. The name velociraptor means robber or thief.

The velociraptor weighed around 33lb, was around 7 ft long, and around 2 ft tall. A relative to the velociraptor is the Deinonychus.Only 12 velociraptor skeleton has been found, making it a rare find.

The velociraptor mostly feeds on small lizards, bird, and eggs. The velociraptor is theorised to hunt in packs . The velociraptor had 27 teeth and the teeth were about 1 in long.

It’s large claw was used to slash at prey. The velociraptor is guessed to be warm blooded. The velociraptor has a top speed of 25 mph. The velociraptor is said to have feathers like other dinosaurs.
