
Mosasaurus or Mosasaurus hoffmanni pronounced m-ose-a-saurus. Was a large, carnivorous marine reptile that lived in the Cretaceous Period, about 66 million years ago. The mosasaurus has been found in the Atlantic Ocean. The name mosasaurus means Meuse lizard.
The mosasaurus weighed around 11 tons and was around 56 ft long. It is one of the larger marine reptiles of its time period.
The mosasaurus is one of the many marine reptile that is well known to the public. The mosasaurus is not a dinosaur unlike popular beliefs.
The mosasaurus mostly feeds on sharks, cephalopods, birds, bony fish, sharks, and other marine reptiles. The mosasaurus had around 45 teeth.
The mosasaurus is cold blooded. The mosasaurus had a top speed of 30 mph.
