The coelophysis has been found in the United States. The name coelophysis means hollow form, which comes from its hollow limb bones.

The coelophysis weighed around 100 lbs, was around 9 ft long, and around 3 ft tall. It is one of the smaller dinosaurs of its time period.

Over 1,000 specimens of the coelophysis have been found. The coelophysis is one of the many dinosaurs that is lesser known to the public.

The coelophysis mostly feeds on smaller animals. Coelophysis has 26 teeth.
